Chapter 28

Updated: Nov 12, 2019

Good Morning, loves!

I was woken up at 5am with a phone call from my mother singing “happy birthday” on the other end and couldn’t fall back asleep so what better time to write, right? Lol I feel so blessed today. That part isn’t new, but what is new is a feeling of tranquility. Peace, cleanliness, it’s so weird but those are the vibes I have today. Usually I’m hype, ‘it’s my birthday’ screams all over the place but not this year. It could be because twenty-eight is such a blah age again, from 26-29 I feel like it’s sort of ‘meh’ in terms of excitement. However, this feeling I have now is just as, if not more, rewarding. Don’t worry there will still be a couple birthday photo shoots before the week is up lol but not to the level I usually take over your timeline. {plug: follow me @yes.rednose on IG & Twitter, Taylor Rednose - Alor on YT}

Twenty-seven was the year of growth for me. However, the word that explains my last chapter best, is ‘busy’. My 9 to 5 work load was nearly doubled for majority of the year, and therefore traveling for work slightly increased, I was maid-of-honor in three weddings, I got engaged which also opens your eyes to truly planning the rest of your life it seems, top notch adulting, lol. I experienced hardships, some of my lowest lows but I also got to witness how resilient I can be. The thing about being busy is, you no longer have time or energy for things that do not truly matter. Things of no value, no depth. For me, I always struggled with people’s perception of me and even my business. Why do we care about something that adds no value to our lives? We shouldn’t, we all know that. But really living it is another thing. Year 27, I took action in unlearning those thoughts and feelings.

I see now that these difficult times were just God blessing me, teaching me and getting me ready for the greatness I was destined. I always say ‘I’m blessed to be busy’ in regards to my businesses, but it’s true in more ways than one. You are stripped down to your core when you’re busy. You bare your soul which gives you the chance to take a look at what’s going on. Realign, we all lose touch sometimes. You’re also able to witness others soul more when your aligned within yourself, and pick up on their energy. You’re able to cut through the bull. This helps when you need to cut negativity out in order to protect your peace. It’s a hard process, one I shy’d away from for a long time out of fear, but that’s definitely something you grow out of. You can not be given the greatness and success you deserve until can handle it. And God, I am ready. Are you?

My Key Take Aways:

1. Subtracting things from your life that do not bring you joy is not loss.

2. There will never be the right time, what are you waiting for?

3. Be honest, be true, to everyone. But especially always to yourself.

4. Love your flaws. And if you want to change them, do it already.

5. Never allow someone to blame you for your light shining too bright.

6. Expectations often lead to disaster. Just Live.

7. Trust your intuition. When you’re in tune with yourself, your intuition is your biggest advocate.

8. Don’t forget to love where you are now in your process...each step is a blessing.

9. Spread love, it costs you nothing

10. Always check yourself. Are you bettering our society? What’s your purpose on this earth? Are you fulfilled? Your happiness is your responsibility, are you protecting it?

XOXO
